If you're attacking Mr. Tymon or blaming him in some way for the BBC's firing of Clarkson, you are an idiot.
He didn't report the fracas, Clarkson did. Like an evolved homo sapien, he didn't fight a coworker over food. He never asked the BBC to do anything about the incident.
As he has been prone to do in the past, Jeremy Clarkson shot his own dick off and brought about the end of Top Gear. It is no one's fault but his, and I would bet he will say so when he gets a chance to speak publicly about it. I'm a huge TG fan and very disappointed by all of this, but let's not make a martyr out of him. He has not been wronged. If your boss punches you, he should be fired.

Not saying it's right, just that I understand where the thought comes from, it's projection. People get mad at a deer that jumps in front of their car and wrecks it. It's not the deer's fault, it just got in the way in the wrong place at the wrong time. Same situation here.

Sadly, it might actually be.
The person I feel worst for in this whole situation is mr. Tymon. He's going to have blame heaped on him regardless of not having made a fuss about anything. Some moron has already lobbed a death threat at him and I'm sure there will be more. [iDontWantToLiveOnThisPlanetAnymore.png]
Quite frankly though, with the BBC's intention to continue Top Gear with new hosts and the three stooges more than likely ending up elsewhere to more or less continue as they were, we're only gaining more automotive programming out of this whole mess. As a fan, that's not something I'm going to complain about.

I agree with you.
Top Gear was good and funny. So was How I Met Your Mother. Both are now over, and the way both ended mildly sucked.

That's the truth. It's a shame and a pity that such an entertaining show simply goes away because of Mr. Clarksons' actions, but it was going to go away sometime. I actually thought one of them would wind up killing themselves in a hilariously awful way, leading the two left to go "Anyway, here's what the rest of the drive was like". No matter what happens now, Top Gear as I knew it is gone and is not coming back. I find James's other shows (Man Lab and his travels with Oz Clark) funny and entertaining as well. Richard Hammond will likely move to California to "Start his Career in America" again. He's had a couple of tries that were very forgettable but he seems like a nice enough bland man.
